The Union Ministry of Education has announced that the syllabus of JEE and NEET 2021 will remain the same as the previous year, and there will be no change in it. Whereas, there would be some choice among the questions in the upcoming JEE and NEET examination. It means that the student will have options to select the questions they want to answer.
In JEE Main 2020, 75 questions were there in the question paper, 25 questions each in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics. There were no internal choices among the questions, and to obtain full marks the aspirants had to answer all 75 questions.
On the other hand, the question paper of JEE Main 2021 will comprise 90 questions, 30 questions each in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics section. Out of these 90 questions, a student will need to answer 75 questions to get full marks. It means that they will need to answer 25 questions in each section which are physics, chemistry and Mathematics. Thus they will get a balance of 5 questions to choose from the JEE Main 2021 paper.
The Union Ministry of Education has not announced any such pattern for NEET (UG) 2021. Although, the notification states that due to the reductions made in the syllabus by various educational boards, the question paper of NEET 2021 will also have options similar to that of JEE Main.
