The Union health minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan announced that the NEET PG 2021 exam has been postponed due to increasing COVID-19 crisis has again obstructed the higher and school education management that was only starting to stumble back to regularity. The NEET PG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate) 2021 has shifted the first influential national-level entrance test to be postponed.
The Union health minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan said that "Decision has been taken keeping the wellbeing of our young medical students in mind," the minister tweeted. The next date will be decided later on.
The National Board of Examinations (NBE) was scheduled to take the entrance test this Sunday, although the decision comes under an objection by students, parents, medical experts, and Opposition leaders, all are demanding to postpone the exam.
The test was held for admission to MD, MS, PG Diploma programmes for the academic year 2021. A group of student doctors departed the Supreme Court endeavoring postponement of the NEET-PG medical entrance exams, and Chief Justice SA Bobde was decided to detect the matter on Friday.
The candidates reportedly said urging doctors, who handle the COVID-19 patients on a daily basis, to attend a physical exam would place thousands of lives at risk.
