It has been seen from time to time that social media and other channels of mass communication gets filled with fake news, especially after any official announcement. And this time when Lakhs of board exam aspirants are waiting for the release of CBSE Class 10, 12 Board exams 2021 date sheet, fake news is again put to circulation.
Addressing this issue the board has released a public notice dated 10th of January under the signature of Dr Sanyam Bhardwaj, controller of examinations. This notification states that the CBSE Board has noticed the circulation of fake date-sheet of CBSE Class 10th & 12th Board examinations as well as Practical Exams on several Social Media Platforms and in some News Papers. These types of information are not correct, and since it can create confusion and panic, therefore, students, their parents and concerned stakeholders that do not believe in such information.
This notice further mentions that “for any official information, kindly check the CBSE website - www.cbse.nic.in. If information is available on the CBSE website then it should be considered as correct otherwise not.”
It also states that the board is well aware of the condition of the students and their concerned parents in the time of the pandemic. Therefore, the CBSE will make any decision only after consulting the matter with all the stakeholders and any such information will be made available on the Board website at an appropriate time.

On 7th January, the Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal had announced that CBSE Class 10th and 12th board examinations 2021 will be held from May 4, till June 10.
Earlier to this, the CBSE had announced that it has reduced Class 10, 12 Board exams syllabus by 30 per cent. But since it was speculated that the syllabus may be curtailed further, the education minister made it clear on December 31, that no more reduction in the syllabus is possible. He had recommended the students to start preparing for the boards.
