The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) have started the admission process for the MBA program, session 2021-23. It will enroll the students based on CAT 2020 scores similar to that of an IIMs (Indian Institutes of Management). Among all the IITs, eight of them offer 2 years MBA program, these include Bombay, Delhi, Dhanbad, Jodhpur, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, and Roorkee.
Admittance to the MBA course in these eight IITs is based on CAT score. However, each of them has its own selection process. Moreover, each one of them works independently. Their selection process includes group discussions (GDs) and interview.
Therefore, the students need to fill the application form of the institute, as per their choice of interest. The application form for the IIT MBA program is available online, and the last date to submit this application for the respective IITs is January 31.
CAT 2020 at a Glance
This year for CAT 2020, a total of 1,90,144 candidates had appeared. As per the previous trends, most of the cat toppers were engineering students. This can be concluded from the fact that 9 candidates scored 100 percentile in CAT 2020 exam. Among them, 7 were from engineering backgrounds. Rest two of the students were students of Mathematics, and the other one was from Management study. Additionally, five of the students who scored 100 percentile were from IITs.
A little below to this, a total of 19 aspirants scored 99.9 percentile in CAT 2020. These students stood at second rank. Out of these candidates, 18 were male whereas, 1 student was female.
