The state of Maharashtra has opened the admission to the ITI courses for the academic year 2021. The below-mentioned highlights discuss the courses offered and the admission process for applying to the various courses under ITI (Industrial Training Institutes) in different parts of Maharashtra.
The Industrial Training Institutes are post-secondary schools that provide vocational training and train students to get employment in different sectors. The training courses are meant to give a much-needed boost to human capital formation in the country. As of current data, there are more than 15,600 ITIs in India.
From Maharashtra's state, the candidates interested in benefiting from the Industrial Training Courses must apply. Directorate of Vocational Education and Training in Maharashtra shall oversee the admission process for ITI 2021.
The aspirants seeking to pursue the ITI courses offered by the numerous Government / Private ITI institutes/ colleges in Maharashtra will need to apply through the prescribed schedule.
The institutes conduct training programmes in areas such as Cosmetology, Carpentry, Computer Operator& Programming Assistant, and Plumbing. Each course will be of a specific duration.
The admission process will consist of five stages, which are described as follows

·Rank Generation and Objection filling
·Counselling
The Eligibility criteria for pursuing these courses mandatorily require the candidates to complete either 8th or 10th classes. The selection of the applicants in the available courses is made based on the merit of the candidates. The first batch of applying for admission opens from the 1st week of June 2021. A basic criterion for candidates has been outlined; however, specifications have been added in some courses. The specifications in the courses are introduced as per the demands of the subjects.
