  • The basic difference between the polytechnic and B.Tech is that polytechnic is a diploma level course, whereas B.Tech is a degree level course.

Polytechnic Eligibility Criteria

For admission in Polytechnic, candidates must have passed the 10th or 12th standard exam from a recognized board with a minimum aggregate marks criteria provided by the examining authority of government, universities/institutes, etc, in science and maths.

Polytechnic Admission Process

The process for taking admission in Polytechnic Course are as follows:

For admission through an entrance exam

  • Candidates firstly have to appear and qualify the entrance test.
  • Qualified students can choose from the college of their preference in which they want to apply, after which they got called for the counselling process.
  • The counselling process can be either done through the institute based counselling or through centralized counselling.
  • The candidates will have to attend counselling, get their documents verified, and pay the admission fee to complete the admission process.

For direct admission to the course

  • Students have to choose from the college of their preference in which they want to apply.
  • After choosing the college and checking its eligibility criteria they have to fill the application form on time.
  • After the final allotment of seats to the candidate, they are asked to deposit the fee for the course and register for the respective academic year.
