TISSNET or Tata Institute of Social Sciences National Entrance Test is a national level postgraduate entrance test, conducted every year by the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai. It provides admission to the 55 Master’s Degree programs at different campuses of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS).
TISSNET 2021 is going to be a computer-based online exam consists of 100 questions, which is divided into three sections, i.e., English Language, Quantitative and Logical Reasoning & DI, and General Awareness. TISSNET 2021 will going to be conducted on February 20, 2021.

TISSNET Exam 2021 registration process commences on December 03, 2020, till January 15, 2021, for the candidates who apply online and January 20, 2021, for application form by post. TISSNET Exam 2021: Eligibility
Candidates who wish to take admission in the 55 postgraduate programs offered by the Tata Institute of Social Sciences will have to take the Common Entrance Examination conducted by The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai. For this students have to be fit the eligibility criteria of the TISSNET 2021 issued by the exam conducting authority of TISSNET. - Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognized university/institute with an aggregate of 50%.
- Final year candidates can also apply, but their admission shall be subjected to the submission of the passing certificate of final year, i.e., a minimum of 50% marks (before June 2021).
- Candidates pursuing a 3-year bachelor's degree must pass all 4 semesters at the time of filling the TISSNET application form, while for those who are pursuing a four-year bachelor's degree must pass all subjects by the sixth semester.
- Candidates applying should have at least 2-year work experience in any field (after graduation) for Master of Arts in (Organisation Development, Change and Leadership).

TISSNET Exam 2021: Exam Layout
TISSNET 2021 exam is a computer-based online exam. The paper will contain 100 questions, which are divided into three sections, i.e., English Language, Quantitative and Logical Reasoning & DI, and General Awareness. Students will have to answer all the questions within the time duration of 100 minutes. The exam is expected to hold a moderate difficulty level.
- The paper consists of MCQ questions.
- Total of 100 objective questions.
- Each correct answer will carry 1 mark.
- No marks shall be deducted for giving an incorrect answer.
- GK is the highest weightage section among other sections in TISSNET with 40% weight.
- There is no sectional cut off but, the GK section needs a minimum of 14 marks (35% marks)
TISSNET Exam 2021: Selection Procedure
Eligible candidates, on the basis of the TISSNET 2021 score, can apply for admission in 55 Master’s Degree programs at different campuses of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS). Candidates who cleared the TISSNET 2021 have to go through a Pre Interview Test/Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) round for getting final admission in an Institute.
The final merit list will be prepared based on the different rounds of TISSNET 2021 conducting by the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai, i.e., TISSNET Score, Pre Interview Test (PIT)/Group Discussion (GD), and Personal Interview (PI) performance. Based on the merit list, seat allotment takes place. After this, candidates can report to the institution for acknowledging the admission.

Step 1: TISSNET 2021 Exam
Candidates will have to appear and pass the TISSNET 2021 exam to get the admission in the 55 Master’s Degree programs at different campuses of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS).
Step 2: Shortlisting
Merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the TISSNET 2021 entrance exam, after which they get shortlisted on the basis of cutoff released by the participating institutes.
Step 3: Selection Rounds
Shortlisted candidates will be called for the further selection process that consists of the following rounds based on the rules of their institution/college:

- Personal Interview (PI)
Step 4: Final Selection
The final list of selected candidates will be prepared based on the additional selection rounds. After this, selected candidates have to report to the institution for the submission of the document.

TISSNET Exam 2021: Guidelines
TISSNET 2021 exam is going to be an online exam. Candidates are recommended to make the instructions clear in their mind while appearing for the TISSNET 2021 exam. The exam day guidelines for TISSNET 2021 Exam are listed below:
- Candidates must have reach the exam center on reporting time. Entries after gate closure time will be prohibited.
- Candidates have to bring their own hand sanitizer and pen/pencil to the exam center.
