About DU LLB 2021

The Faculty of Law at the University of Delhi organizes the DU LLB 2021 Entrance Examination for candidates looking to seek admission into one of the law programs offered by the university. DU LLB 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Before beginning to fill the application for the BITSAT 2021, it is advised that the candidates go through the following eligibility criteria to avoid the rejection or cancellation of the application form:

  • Candidates in general category should have attained at least 50% marks in their qualifying degree.
  • Whereas candidates in SC/ST category must score at least 40% marks in their qualifying degree.
  • Candidates in the OBC, PwD and CW categories must attain a minimum score of 45% in their qualifying degree.
  • For candidates in the General and OBC, they must have a graduation degree or post-graduation degree from the University of Delhi or from any other equivalent of University of Delhi anywhere in India or a Foreign country.
  • Candidates that possess a PG degree or are supposed to be appearing for their final year PG degree examination are also eligible to apply for the DU LLB 2021 entrance examination.
  • There are no age restrictions to appear for the examination as per the order of the Supreme Court of India.

DU LLB Application Process

Step1: Registration

  • Candidates first need to go to the official website of the DU LLB Entrance Examination.
  • Candidates can now begin their new registration.
  • Applicants will have to provide certain credentials, such as Name of Candidate, Date of birth, Valid Email ID.
  • The applicant should then submit these details to move onto the next step.
  • The candidate will be provided a User ID and Password with the help of their registered ID.

Step 2: Filling in of the Application Form

  • Now, the candidate will have to log in with their user ID and password that is priorly provided to the candidate.
  • Then the candidate will get redirected to another page where the details for the application form must be filled.

Step 3: Uploading Documents

  • Now Candidates will have to make a clear scan of the following documents: Passport size photograph (must be in jpg format) and Signature (must be in jpg format).

DU LLB Syllabus of General Knowledge

Awareness of international and national issues including static General Knowledge. Being up-to-date with the news is very important when it comes to general knowledge. Topics that are discussed in the print and digital media are equally important.

DU LLB Syllabus of Legal Awareness Aptitude

This part tests the interest towards the study of law, research aptitude and problem-solving ability.

DU LLB Syllabus of English Language Comprehension

This section comprises of comprehension and grammar. These are designed to test the candidate’s aptitude in English. Candidates will be evaluated on the basis of their understanding of the passage in the comprehension section. Whereas, in the grammar section, the candidates will be required to fill in the blanks with an appropriate choice, spot the errors, etc.

Preparation Tips for DU LLB Entrance Examination 2021

Candidates should go through the following preparation tips and follow them to score well in the DU LLB entrance examination:

  • It is advised that candidates must go through the complete examination pattern and syllabus prescribed by the officials much before the day of the exam.
  • Candidates should also solve previous year question papers and sample papers to get exposed to the different types of questions and the examination pattern while also getting used to the time restrictions.
  • Candidates should also remember to make an efficient study timetable that gives them the right amount of time to prepare without getting stressed out. They should make sure they follow it on a regular basis.

A1. There are three, namely Campus Law Centre (CLC), Law Centre - I (LC-I) and Law Centre II (LC-II) in the University of Delhi.

Q2. Does the CLC of University of Delhi offer any LLM course to candidates?

A2. No, the CLC DU does not offer any LLM course. Although there is the LLM course offered by the Faculty of Law from the University of Delhi (DU).

A3. No, the DU does not offer any specializations in LLB or LLM programmes.

Q4. What are the minimum marks that a candidate must attain in order to get admission into the LLB programme of Delhi University?
