About DUET 2021

Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET) is one of the most renowned entrance examinations that is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). There are several colleges, most of which are the top colleges of the country, under Delhi University that provide admission based on the scores of the DUET exam. However, there is also an option for merit based admissions. DUET is conducted once a year and the exam duration is 2 hours.

DUET Eligibility Criteria 2021

Before beginning to fill the application for the DUET 2021, it is advised that the candidates should go through the following eligibility criteria to avoid the rejection or cancellation of the application form. The following information is related to the Eligibility Criteria for the DUET 2021.

DUET Registration Process 2021

As per the timeline provided above, candidates have to register through the official website of DU. The next step is filling the application form, uploading documents and making the payment (debit or credit card or net banking). The application fee will vary according to the category of the aspirant. You can check out the table below. The fee is non-refundable under any circumstances. Application forms will be available online on the official website. Application forms will be available from the first week of March 2021 for UG courses (entrance based). For PG courses, the application forms will be available from the first week of March 2021. Candidates are required to fill all the required details i.e. educational, personal and communication etc.

DUET Exam Registration Process 2021

Candidates who want to participate in the DUET exam 2021 have to apply for the exam by filling the application form through the official website. It is an online process that involves the following steps:

Step 1: Registration

  • Visit the official website of DUET – Click Here
  • Click on the link Fill DUET 2021 Registration Form.
  • Click on New Registration after which you will be redirected to the registration page where you have to click on the Click here to proceed.

Step 2: Fill DUET online application form 2021

  • After doing the registration process the form will have appeared in front of you and you have to fill in all the required details in it.
  • Also select the course you are opted for.

Step 3: Upload Documents

  • Upload the scanned photograph (Check the Dimension).
  • Upload the scanned signature (Check the Dimension).

Step 4: Fee Payment

  • After clicking Save & Next, the fee payment page will be redirected.
  • Choose payment mode (Net Banking, Credit card, and Debit Card).
  • Click Proceed to pay.

Before appearing for any exam it is so much necessary to go through the exam pattern so that there will be no chaos at that time.

  • Time: 120 minutes
  • Marks: 360 marks

DUET Preparation Tips

  • Getting into DU is many students’ dream. The entrance test is naturally a little difficult considering its reputation. The candidate needs to have a good understanding of the subject one is applying for.
  • Depending on the course that you are applying for, your preparation strategy should vary. However, for whichever program you want to take up, a thorough understanding of the syllabus and the exam pattern is necessary. Hit the college libraries and do as much research as possible.
  • After you get a grip on these, prepare a strategy based on your own needs. Make a routine and no matter what happens, follow it at any cost.
  • Look for old question papers and solve as many as you can. That would give you an idea of the exam pattern and help you decide which topics to stress.
  • Eat healthily and get enough amount of sleep to process information and also for the best possible outcome.

Q1. What is the duration of DUET 2021?

A1. The duration shall be 2 hours.

Q5. Is there any Negative Marking in DUET 2021?

A5. Yes. Candidates will be awarded 4 marks for each correct answer and 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Q6. What are the types of questions that will be asked in DUET 2021? Will there be descriptive questions?

A6. Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) will be asked in the DUET 2021 Exam. No, the descriptive questions will not be asked.

Q7. Can I pay the application fee through the Demand Draft method?

A7. No, the application fee will be submitted only through online mode using debit card/credit card, etc.

Q8. Is it possible for me to apply for more than one course?

A8. Yes, candidates are allowed to apply for more than one course using the ‘Apply Now button.

Q9. When can I select my preferred courses/colleges?

A9. Candidates can select the courses/ colleges at the time of the release of the first cut off. The selection of courses & colleges is only a one-time facility.

Q10. Is it mandatory to sit for DUET 2021 to get admission into Delhi University?

A10. The candidates applying through entrance based admission have to appear for the DUET entrance test. Otherwise, there is an option for merit-based admission too.
