About CUCET 2021
Chandigarh University Common Admission Test (CUCET) University-level entrance test, conducted thrice every year by the Chandigarh University to provide admission to the Engineering, Management, Arts, Architecture Design and Planning, Commerce and Economics, etc. course offered by Chandigarh University. The exam is going to be conducted between 14 December 2020 to 31 May 2021.
The objective of CUCET 2021
The objective of the CUCET exam is to give admission to the meritorious students on a Merit basis and also, provide them scholarships. This policy also aims to determine the merit of students in a successful, fair, and transparent testing procedure.

CUCET Scholarship
Chandigarh University offers scholarships worth Rs 33 crores based on the CUCET exam. The amount of scholarship is different in phase 1 and 2. The details of phase 1 and 2 are as follows:

CUCET Exam Registration Process 2021
The CUCET Exam 2021 registration process will start from 14th December 2020, which will run till 29th May 2021. It is both the online and offline process. Candidates have to fill the application form before the due date, through the online or offline mode according to their ease. The CUCET application process involves the following steps:

- Step 2: Get yourself registered and create the CUCET account.
- Step 3: Get a confirmation message on your mail.
- Step 4: Pay the application fee with a digital copy of the prospectus.
- Step 5: Fill in all the required details such as school name & subjects, etc.
- Step 6: Choose the date for the CUCET exam from the drop-down.
For Offline Registration Process
- Step 1: Visit the official website of CUCET – Click Here
- Step 2: Get yourself registered and create the CUCET account.
- Next, score the CUCET form and fill the special form number present in the form in the option available on the website.
- Then, enter the qualification details and select the CUCET exam date.

CUCET Exam Eligibility 2021
Candidates who want to take admission in the undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the field of Engineering, Management, Hotel Management, Pharmacy, Teaching Fine Arts, etc. offered by Chandigarh University will have to take the common entrance exam conducted by the Chandigarh University itself. For this students have to be fit the eligibility criteria issued by the exam conducting authority of CUCET 2021. Listed below are the eligibility criteria for the CUCET entrance exam for both the undergraduate and postgraduate courses 2021:
CUCET Eligibility criteria for UG courses
- The candidate seeking to apply for UG should passed Class 10+2 or equivalent with 50% or more in relevant stream from a recognized board or university.
- Students in Class 10+2 or awaiting board results are also eligible to apply for PERA CET.
CUCET Eligibility criteria for PG courses
- The candidate should passed the Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in relevant subject from a recognized university with 50% or more.
- Final year graduation students or those awaiting final results are also eligible to apply.
CUCET Exam Pattern 2021
- CUCET 2021 entrance will going to be the online computer-based home proctored exam.
- The paper consists of MCQ questions.
- Total of 100 objective questions.
- The total duration of this exam is 120 Minutes.
- Total marks 100.
- No negative marking for the wrong answer.

CUCET Admission Process 2021
Step 1: CUCET Exam Registration 2021
- Candidates have to create an account to get themselves registered.
- After which a username and password will be generated that candidates can use for filling the application form.
Step 2: CUCET Application Form
Now candidates have to log in to their account by entering their username and password to fill the application form and to deposit the application fee.
Note: At the time of filling the CUCET 2021 application form, candidates can choose the exam date and timing as per their choice.
Step 3: Chandigarh CUCET 2021 Admit Card
Candidates have to download the admit card from the official website of Chandigarh University. Once downloaded, candidates need to take a printout of the admit card.
Step 4: CUCET Exam
After all the processes mentioned above candidates can appear for CUCET 2021 exam in the online mode as per their chosen date and time. The admission cum scholarship exam is a two-hour test and contains 100 objective questions.
Step 5: CUCET Exam 2021 Result
All candidates clearing the exam with a minimum of 60% marks will e eligible for admission as well as scholarship in their respective courses. It may be noted that candidates whose names appear in the merit list will be intimated through email, which informs the official website.
Step 6: Fee Payment
Qualifying candidates, have to pay 30% of the total fee within the 15 days of the result declaration to get the scholarship.

FAQ Concerning CUCET 2021
Q1. Can I get an examination centre of my choice?
A1. No, you can appear in the test from your home only.
Q2. By applying through off-line mode where do I have to send the CUCET application form?
A2. The application form purchased offline will have a unique number. You have to fill this number while registering at http://cucet.cuchd.in. You don’t have to pay 1000 INR again if the form is purchased offline.
Q3. Is there any negative marking for CUCET?
A3. No, there will be no negative marking in CUCET.
Q4. What will happen in the case there is some problem with the computer during CUCET online test?
A4. In such cases of computer system failure or any other related problems, Students need to contact technical helpline numbers and can reach out to us at cucet@cumail.in. Moreover, the time lost will be duly counted and compensated as every second will be recorded by the examination server.
Q5. If I have already scored 90% in 10+2 and seeking admission in Engineering. Do I have to appear in CUCET?
A5. If you have got more than 90% in 10+2, you need not take the entrance test (CUCET). But while appearing for CUCET, if the 10+2 result is not declared so it is recommended to appear in CUCET.
