About CEPT Entrance Exam 2021

CEPT University which is located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat offers numerous undergraduate, postgraduate, M.Phil, and Ph.D. courses in the fields of Architecture, Planning, Technology, Design, and Management. CEPT University was formerly called the Centre for Environmental Planning and Technology.

The CEPT entrance examination is conducted by the CEPT University to offer admission to students for the various UG and PG courses. It is a state-level examination that is conducted offline and takes place for 3 hours.

CEPT Entrance Exam Eligibility Criteria

COURSE CRITERIA MARKS
Bachelor of Interior Design
  • 10 + 2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects OR Passed 10+3 Diploma* examination with Mathematics as a compulsory subject having obtained at least 50% marks in the aggregate and have obtained valid score in the NATA as prescribed by Council.
NOTE: * A candidate shall have passed the Diploma (I0+ 3) of any stream with Mathematics as a compulsory subject from:
  1. The Technical Examination Board, Gujarat State or
  2. A University established or incorporated by or under a Central or a State Act or an institution declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act. 1956 (3 or 1956)
         OR
  • Candidates who have cleared the qualifying examination from a school located outside India with minimum eligibility criteria as prescribed by AICTE/Council from time to time, and equivalency defined by Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi shall be eligible for admission.
         OR
  • The candidate shall have to pass all the subjects of the qualifying examination from a single Board.
Aggregate 50% + NATA Score
Bachelor of Urban Design 10 + 2 with any streams (Science, Commerce and Arts / Humanities) OR Diploma (10+3 pattern) of any stream Aggregate 50% Marks
Bachelor of Construction Technology
  • 10 + 2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies as an optional subject and candidate should have appeared in JEE (Main) of the corresponding year
          OR
  • Candidates who have cleared the qualifying examination from a school located outside India with minimum eligibility criteria as prescribed by AICTE/Council from time to time, and equivalency defined by Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi shall be eligible for admission.
          OR
  • The candidate shall have to pass all the subjects of the qualifying examination from a single Board.

Master of Landscape Architecture
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture / Landscape Architecture / Urban Design and Interior Design disciplines with at least four full-time academic years in duration offered by a recognized University or Institution.
          OR
  • A postgraduate degree in any of the disciplines like Botany / Ecology / Horticulture / Geography / Agriculture / Forestry / Geology / Hydrology or similar natural sciences of a minimum of two years of full-time study with a prescribed bridge course
  • 4 years Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Planning with a prescribed bridge course.
Aggregate 55% (50% for reserved categories)
Master of Landscape Design
  • Master’s degree in any of the disciplines like Botany, Ecology, Horticulture, Geography, Agriculture, Forestry, Geology, Hydrology or similar natural sciences of a minimum of two years of full-time study with a prescribed bridge course
  • 4 years Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Planning with a prescribed bridge course
Master of Technology in - Construction Engineering and Management
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering / Construction Technology / Environmental Engineering / Urban Design and Architecture
  • Candidate shall have cleared XII Examination in the science stream with Mathematics and Physics as required subjects.
Aggregate 55% (50% for SC / ST / SEBC candidate)
Master of Technology in - Structural Engineering Design
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology
  • Candidate shall have cleared XII Examination in the science stream with Mathematics and Physics as required subjects.
Master of Technology in Geomatics
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering / Geoinformatics Engineering / Computer Engineering / Environmental Engineering / Electronics and Communication Engineering / Information Technology / Water Resources / Agriculture / Planning / Urban Design and Architecture OR Master’s degree in Basic Science / Earth Science / Geoinformatics / Climate Science / Environment Science / Information Technology / Disaster Management and Geography
  • Candidate shall have cleared XII Examination in the science stream with Mathematics and Physics as required subjects.
Aggregate 55% (50% for SC / ST / SEBC candidate)
Master of Technology in Building Energy Performance
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Environmental Engineering / Construction Technology / Architecture / Interior Design or Interior Architecture (five-year programs only) from a recognized university/institution.
  • Applicant must have cleared XII Examination in science stream with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

CEPT Entrance Exam Application process  2021

As per the timeline provided above, candidates have to register through www.cept.ac.in/www.admissions.cept.ac.in

  • Visit the official website of CEPT.
  • Click on the “Apply” button after going to the admission, you will be redirected to the registration form.
  • Now, get yourself registered by entering details such as Name, Gender, Date of Birth, Contact Number, and email ID.
  • After the completion of the registration, an ID for CEPT Entrance Exam will be generated and sent to your registered email address.
  • Re-login with login credentials i.e. User ID and Password.
  • Fill Application Form for CEPT Entrance Exam 2021.
  • Click on submit to do the form filling process.
  • Now, make the online payment via Debit Card/Credit Card/ Net Banking.

CEPT 2021 PG Pattern

  • The entrance test is common for all Faculty of Design and Faculty of Architecture programs. It checks the ability to describe, analyze, imagine, and visualize.
  • The entrance test for Master of Urban Management includes an essay and a case study analysis.
  • The entrance exam for courses under the Faculty of Technology contains 3 sections, Verbal English with a weightage of 30%, Analytical Ability with weightage of 30% & Mathematical Ability with a weightage of 40%.
