The Central Universities Common Entrance Test is a country-wide exam conducted for admission to various Integrated or Undergraduate, Postgraduate and also Research Programmes in different Central and State Universities of India. From its inception in year 2010, the CUCET has been coordinated by the Central University of Rajasthan.
CUCET 2021 - Important Updates
The CUCET 2021 will be held in the third week of May 2021. It will be organised by the 14 Central Universities of India.
Given below are the essential dates to be noted for the same.
CUCET 2021 - Application
To register, candidates to have to fill the CUCET 2021 Application Form. All aspiring entrants have to fill out and submit applications form before the specified deadline. Students can complete and submit the Application Form in the online mode. No other mode will be entertained to receive the Application Form.
- Applicants can fill the CUCET 2021 Application Form from the second week of March 2021.
- CUCET 2021 Application Form can be filled the last submission of application until the second week of April 2021.
- There is no correction facility that will be made available in the online Application Form later on. So, please fill the details carefully before submitting it.
- Students who have applied have to upload the scanned images of photograph and signature in the JPEG/JPG format (Size: 10KB to 50 KB).
- At the time of completing the form, applicants can fill a maximum of three Participating Universities (PU) with three courses in each.
- Applicants must keep copies of the filled Application Form with them for the future.
In the following section, students can get to know the stepwise procedure to fill the registration form.
1) Registration
- Visit the official CUCET website link.
- Click the 'Apply' tab on the main menu.
- This will give you access to the UG, PG, and RP link for registration.
2) Select a branch
- Read the items you need to have ready before filling the registration form.
- Click on any of the links given for the various courses depending on your preference.
3) Confirm the Registration
- A registration page according to the selected course will open.
- Supply the details such as the name of the candidate, the date of birth, the e-mail address, the mobile number and make the password.
- Click on the 'Save and Continue' button.
- After successfully registering, the student will receive an e-mail and a message on their registered e-mail and contact number.
4) Registration Information
- Complete the registration details.
- Here, candidates must complete their personal information, details of the qualifying exam (10 + 2), details of their year of study if already at a university, their correspondence address, and the test centre.
- After completing all the required information, applicants must read the statement given below it.
- Mark 'I agree' and enter the verification code
- Click on the 'Save and continue' button.
5) Upload the Images
- Students are required to upload their signature and photograph.
- Choose the file by clicking on the 'Choose File' button.
- Upload the scanned photograph and signature of size ranging between 10 KB and 50 KB.
- The dimensions of the uploads should be 200 x 230 pixels (Photograph) and 140 x 60 pixels (signature).
- Enter the verification code sent to you and click on the 'Upload images and Proceed' button.
6) University and Course
- Applicants must select the university and course as per their preference.
- Applicants can select up to three universities with the courses of theirs.
- Enter the university code and course.
- Click on the 'Save and Proceed' button.
7) Edit the Registration Form
- Students are allowed to edit their filled-in application form.
- Verify all details you have provided in each step given above for correctness.
- If you want to change any details, then click on the 'Edit Application' button. If not, click on the 'Submit and Make Payment' button.
8) Payment of registration fee
- Click on 'Send and Pay' to pay the registration fee.
- Select one of the options for payment, enter the verification code, and click on the 'Make a payment' button.
9) View the Registration Form
- In this section, applicants can view their application form and can verify the payment status.
- After successfully sending all the details, take the printed copy of the form.
- You should take extra photocopies and keep them available until you enter a university.
CUCET 2021 - Application Fee
Applicants must pay the registration fee according to their respective categories. The payment can be made through online mode. Offline and online application fees are different so kindly verify the same carefully.
- The online registration fee can be made through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking.
- To pay the registration fee through the offline mode, candidates can submit the SBI Bank Challan.

CUCET 2021 – Exam Pattern
The exam pattern of the CUCET 2021 is designed as mentioned below.
Integrated B.Tech, M.Tech, Integrated M.Sc, BA, BBA etc. (UGQP01)
Parts: The review will contain two parts, Part A and B. Every section will consist of 25 or more questions. A student is required to answer a set of X sections (75 questions).
- Part A: 25 MCQ questions, including English, analytical skills, general knowledge, numerical interpretation of skills/data, reasoning, general aptitude.
- Part B: Examinees must answer sections I Physics and II Chemistry. From Section III along with Section IV, only one of the sections will be asked, that is either Mathematics- Section III or Biology -Section IV should be attempted. In the event that a candidate answers both the math and biology sections, the best three of the four sections, that is, sections I, II, and III or IV will be evaluated and taken into consideration for the test results.
Integrated Master, B.VOC, MA, BPA, Diploma (UGQP02)
- There will a single test for this section.
- Number of questions: The document of questions will include 100 QCM from the following disciplines: English, analytical skills, numerical interpretation of skills/data, general knowledge, reasoning, general aptitude.
For B.VOC (Interior design) (UGQP03)
The test consists of a questionnaire of a maximum of 100 points comprised of two parts:
- Part A: 25 points; 30 minutes
- This document will contain objective questions according to the following chart.
- Part B: 75 Marks; 150 minutes
- This section contains questions to test sense of aesthetics, basic drawing skills, lateral thinking, and the ability to articulate ideas.
Examinees must choose a correct answer and mark on the OMR sheet. If a student marks several entries for the same question on the OMR sheet, it will be considered under an incorrect response and will receive negative marks.

CUCET 2021 - FAQs
Q. When will the CUCET 2021 result be released?
A. The CUCET 2021 result will be announced in the online mode in the third week of June.
Q. When will the admission list of the CUCET 2021 be made available?
A. The CUCET 2021 admission list will be released after the counselling registration process is over by the participating institutes.
Q. What is the cut off expected for CUCET 2021?
A. Each institution will release its own cut off list for entry into various courses. Students have to qualify the minimum cut off criteria to gain admission.
Q. Does the CUCET involve rounds of interview for all programs?
A. No. Interview rounds are held only for selected courses in the CUCET (MSc/MA in Digital Society course). The total weightage given to the interview round is 25 percentage.
