The CA Foundation is an examination for candidates that are interested in chartered accountancy in India. This examination is a 1st level CA Examination conducted by the ICAI, also known as the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, to help aspirants fulfill their dream of becoming a chartered accountant who is eligible to practice in India. Candidates who wish to apply for the CA Foundation should have passed the 12th class and can go through the eligibility criteria to get a clear idea of whether they can apply for the examination.

Eligibility Criteria for CA Foundation 2021

·Candidates who want to apply must qualify for their 12th class examination or equivalent from a recognized board to be eligible.

·Candidates must have registered, before the last day of registration, for the CA Foundation Examination with Foundation Course with BoS (Board of Studies) of the ICAI.

Application Procedure for CA Foundation 2021

Aspirants that are looking to apply must visit the official website

Candidates must register themselves by filling in the necessary details such as their Name, Date of Birth, Sex, mobile number, and e-mail ID.

After filling in all the details mentioned above, candidates should submit the form. Candidates can then mention other important information like their Caste, Nationality, Educational Qualifications, Mother’s Name, Father’s Name, and Address details.

After that, the candidate can log in with their ID and password, which would have been sent to the candidate via E-Mail.

After these details are filled in successfully, applicants are supposed to upload clear scanned images of the passport size photograph and signature in the specified size and format, as mentioned.

Finally, the applicants should make sure to take a printout of the filled-in application form. Candidates must then pay the application fee.

Exam Pattern for CA Foundation 2021

·The examination will be conducted in two shifts – morning shift and afternoon shift.

·The first shift would be from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm. Whereas the second shift will be from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm.

·In this entrance examination, all the questions will be of objective type.

·CA Foundation Entrance Examination is a total of 200 marks.

·There will be a negative marking scheme of ¼ of the marks allotted to a question.

Preparation Tips for CA Foundation 2021

Candidates should go through the following preparation tips and follow them to score well in the examination.

·It is advised that candidates should go through the complete exam pattern and syllabus prescribed by the officials much before the day of the exam.

·Candidates should also solve previous year question papers and sample papers to get exposed to the different types of questions and the examination pattern while also getting used to the time restrictions.

·Candidates should also remember to make an efficient study timetable that gives them the right amount of time to prepare without getting stressed out. They should make sure they follow it on a regular basis.

·Another key factor to remember is that candidates should maintain a fit and healthy mind and body during the preparation as well as a few days before the examination.

·Along with working towards their strategy for the exam, applicants should also watch out for simple mistakes they can make that could cost them heavily. From carrying the right documents, reaching the examination center on time, to avoiding calculation errors, all these are small things every applicant should keep in mind.
