AIEED 2021

The All India Entrance Examination for Design refers to a university level examination conducted every year to offer admission to aspirants for undergraduate and graduate design programs in the Arch College of Design and Business. The AIEED 2021 is scheduled to be conducted in CBT (Computer Based Test/ Online Mode) and is conducted by Arch College of Design and Business.

The examination is conducted in three stages- Stage I, Stage II and Stage III. It comprises of two parts, namely:

1.    Creative Aptitude Test (CAT)

2.    General Aptitude Test (GAT)

3.    Interaction

The AIEED will be held on January 3rd, 6th and 9th 2021.

Eligibility Criteria

Before beginning to fill the application form for the AIEED 2021, it is advised that the candidates go through the following eligibility criteria to avoid the rejection or cancellation of the application form in the future. This eligibility criteria is set by ARCH Academy of Design:

For UG Courses:

The student must have cleared 10th and 12th  grade through CBSE or ICSE or IB or State Board or any other board equivalent depending upon the UGC guidelines.

Any candidate who is still a student in 12th grade and is appearing for 12th grade examinations can also write the AIEED 2021.

Applicants who have already cleared the first round of NID or NIFT or NATA are also eligible to apply for the examination. They can also apply directly for the Interaction and Portfolio round.

Students in class 11 are also eligible to give the AIEED 2021. If the student qualifies the examination, the they will be eligible for direct admission for the academic year 2021 once he clears the last stage of AIEED 2021.

Also, other students who have cleared the PTE Exam (Academics) within one year of the commencement of the course are eligible to give the AIEED 2021. 

For PG Courses:

Graduates or students that are still pursuing graduation in any discipline from any recognized Indian university can apply for this examination.

Registration process 

The registration for AIEED 2021 has already begun. It started from November 21st, 2020 and will go on till December 21st, 2020. The AIEED 2021 application form is made available on the official website of ARCH college so that candidates can access and fill in the application form. Candidates have to make sure that they correctly fill in their important details such as their Name and Date of Birth and Contact details like their address and phone number in the AIEED 2021 Application Form.

The candidates can pay their application fees in online mode (Credit/Debit card/Net Banking) as well as offline mode through challan and DD (Demand Draft).

Candidates can follow the following steps to fill in the application form correctly:

- At first, the aspirant must register for AIEED 2021 in order to access the application form.

- After the registration is complete, the candidate can select their preferred course and the campus where the candidate wants to take admission.

Next, the candidate must fill in all of their personal details and also their educational qualifications.

Further, the candidate has to upload the required documents such as their photographs and signature.

Finally, the candidate needs to pay the application fees in either online or offline mode to complete their application successfully.

Prep Tips to crack the AIEED 2021

- Practise drawing and illustrations

For someone who I looking to start their career in the field of design, one must know all the things you need to know about illustrations. It is not very difficult to crack the AIEED 2021, but as an aspirant, you must practice the art of drawing and sketching as many times as you can to get a hang of illustrations. The more time you spend on practicing illustrations, there will significantly be a change in your drawings and diagrams which will eventually reflect in your entrance exam. Having good knowledge about charcoal drawings, shading and colour combinations such as watercolour, plastic, and acrylic colours is one of the suggested ways to practice your illustrations.

- Plan a strategy for your examination and preparation:

Any candidate that is looking to write this examination or any examination for that matter must plan a strategy. Planning an effective strategy that will help you not only remain focused but also help you stick to your study plan. This planning and strategizing will help you work smarter towards your dream college.

AIEED FAQs

Q. How do NRI/Foreign Nationals apply for the AIEED 2021?

 A. NRI and Foreign National candidates are supposed to submit certain documents along with the application form. These documents are:

· An attested copy of a few a relevant pages of the candidate’s passport.

· An equivalence certificate that is issued by the concerned Embassy which validates the candidate’s educational qualifications.

· An attested copy that indicates the proof of status of the candidate as an NRI/Foreign National.

· NRI/Foreign Nationals can not pay online. They can only make the application fee payment of through a Demand Draft (DD). A Demand Draft of  $75 is supposed to be submitted for “ARCH Educational Society” which is supposed to be paid at Jaipur. You must send it to the ARCH office as mentioned.

Q. When can we expect get the AIEED Admit Card?

A. Candidates will be able to download their AIEED 2021 admit card 7 days before the day of the examination. Candidates can access  their admit card with the use of Email ID/control number & Password.

Q. What is the size for the online submission of the photograph?

A. The passport size photograph of the candidate is supposed to be of 1MB and specifically in jpg/jpeg format.

Q. What are the parameters of selection?

A. The AIEED 2021 Selection Procedure involves several different parameters for the final selection of candidates  for the AIEED 2021. These can explained such as the AIEED 2017 exam result (NATA Score), any other performances in the education field in the recent past, performance in the interview and the portfolio as well.

Q. What is the portfolio?

A. Portfolio is the visiting card of the candidate and is supposed to be shared with the conducting authority. The portfolio is a collection of the previous creative work done by the candidate which includes previously made illustrations, photographs, sketches, essays, prose, films, slideshows, etc. that can be shared over a mobile phone. This shows the candidate’s skills and abilities.
