BAMS, popularly known as Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery, is an undergraduate course in which students study Ayurveda and use it for the treatment of patients. In this course, students firstly studied the anatomy, physiology, and history of the Ayurvedic system, then the toxicology and pharmacology, and the finally, the surgery ENT, skin, obstetrics, and gynecology. The BAMS course comes up with a duration of 5½ years (4.5 years of academic sessions and a 1-year internship).
