Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST Shibpur) is located in Shibpur, Howrah, West Bengal. The Institution was established in 1986, it is Approved by AICTE, New Delhi, and recognized by the UGC and the All India Council of Technical Education. The institute presently has a total strength of 4000 including male and female students, as well as the institute, provide a highly qualified and experienced faculty of around 250 members, and almost every faculty holds a Ph.D. degree.

The educational program of IIEST Shibpur is planned in a manner to encourage students so that they can take part in both academics and research. The educational plan enough opportunities for students to attain practical knowledge in different fields of engineering and pure sciences.
