MIT World Peace University (MIT-WPU) was established in 2017 in Pune, Maharashtra. It is one of the top private universities in India since the establishment of the MIT Group of Institutes in 1983. The university was formerly known as the MIT Group of Institutes till 2017 after which it owns its status of the university as Dr. Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University. It is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC), since 2017.

MIT-WPU Pune offers both undergraduate and postgraduate level degrees for the students seeking admission in engineering/technology and professional courses.
