CU provides scholarships to needy students, which helps them to continue their higher studies with ease. CU provides a several number of Scholarships to the students who need it, such as:
Scholarship Scheme Based on CUCET Exam
In this Scholarship, Chandigarh University offers worth Rs. 33 Crores scholarship to the brilliance and potential young candidates and they can study in high-tech courses of their choice.

PG Scholarship for Professional Courses for SC/ST
This scholarship has been started keeping in view the social background of the candidates who are from the deprived section of society. To such student’s university provide the opportunity to study postgraduate levels Professional subjects such as Engineering & Technology, Management, and Pharmacy etc. in Indian Universities/Institutions/ Colleges. With this scholarship, the university wants to provide financial assistance to 1000 SC/ST students.
Pre-Earned Credit Program Scholarship
The university will provide scholarships on the academic fees up to 50% as per the below mentioned criteria after appearing in Coding Boot Camp certification Test:

Scholarship Scheme for Wards of Defense Personnel
CU provides scholarships to the Wards/Spouse of Defense Personnel’s under the Armed Forces Educational Welfare Scheme (AFEWS). This scholarship scheme is a part of our social responsibility towards special sections of our society.
In Chandigarh University 5% of seats in all courses are reserved for the wards/spouses of Defense Personnel and their dependent members.

Special Scheme for Potential Players
- Special Scheme will only be offered to potential players in the following games: Weightlifting, Powerlifting and Athletics.
- A special chance for one year will be given to those students who could not achieve National/AIIU medals in the previous year.
- The below mentioned concessions will only be given to those selected students who perform equal to the last year’s winner (Gold, Silver or Bronze) in the AIIU Championship.
1. Academic Fees Concession for one year.
2. Free Hostel and free food facility for one year.

Scholarship for Chandigarh University Staff
The Wards/Spouse of Only CU staff are having at least one year of regular service in the university will be offered 50% concession in academic fees. It will continue till the staff member is working with Chandigarh University.
Other Concessions
- Concession to Old Student - The CGC group student seeking admission to Chandigarh University after their degree/diploma will be provided with a scholarship equivalent to 10% of the yearly fee for the entire period of the course.
- Concession to Single Girl Child – CU offers 10% concession on the yearly fee to single girl children.
- Concession to Teacher’s Ward - CU offers 10% concession on the yearly fee to the wards of teachers for the entire duration of the course. Maximum 5% of total seats in each course shall be offered under this scholarship.
- Sibling Concession – CU offers 10% concession on yearly fees to one of the siblings studying in CU.
- Concession to Girl Siblings - The University offers 10% concession on the yearly fee to both female siblings.
- Concession to Orphan Student - 10% of concession is already applicable and 20% of concession will be given in case of Single Parent.
- Covid Warrior Scheme - This scholarship will be given to those students whose parents are employees of Hospital Staff, Police Personnel and Safai Sevak of Municipal Corporation/ Committees. University will provide 10% concession on the Academic Fees.
- Alumni Scholarship - 10% concession will be given to the real brother/ sister/ spouse/ Wards of the alumni student of the university. For continuation of concession, students have to pass the regular semester exam at first chance.
Early Bird Scholarship for PG Students
This scholarship will be provided to the graduate students for admission in all the PG level programs of CU (Excluding MBA) as per the below mentioned criteria:
- 15% scholarship will be given to the students who have completed UG degrees from Chandigarh University.
- 10% scholarship will be given to the students who have completed UG degrees from other Universities.
Teaching Assistant Stipend
For M.Sc and M.E students, teaching assistant stipend 5000/- to 8000/- will be given as per teaching month per semester.
